Gearbox Software announced at PAX Australia that Homeworld and Homeworld 2 will be getting HD remakes. When THQ was going bankrupt, Gearbox Software decided to purchase the Homeworld IP for $1.35 million. Gearbox will be releasing the HD remakes via digital platforms.
