Kabam Announces Return of Summoner Showdown 2021 for MARVEL Contest of Champions

Kabam has announced the return of MARVEL Contest of Champions‘ most competitive premiere fighting game player tournament – Summoner Showdown 2021! The tournament makes its 3rd appearance since its 2019 launch and is once again opening the door to competitive MCoC players to fight for the chance to be crowned Summoner Showdown Champion.

This year’s competition will introduce new challenges for players as they will soon compete in a series of intensely challenging qualifiers, where three of the best players from the Americas, Europe and Russia, as well as Asia and Oceania, will be chosen in order to go head-to-head to see who is the best of the nine finalists. In addition to receiving a variety of high-quality streaming gear to help facilitate the semi-finals and finals, the winner will receive an assortment of prizes including, in-game Champions and items, along with high-quality video equipment.

QUALIFIERS

The Summoner Showdown Qualifier Rounds are special in-game Quests designed to find the strongest Summoners from around the world. Each week, you’ll face 3 Bosses powered by game-breaking buffs that will put all your skill to test. By the end of every Qualifier Round, 3 top players who post the best leaderboard scores (split by region) will be selected to advance to the Semi-Finals. All you need is one score to advance– read on for more details!

Week 3 Nameless Hyperion – Start: Monday, July 26th 2021 at 10am PDTEnd: Monday, August 2nd 2021 at 10am PDT

This special quest will be broken down into three different difficulties to give all our Summoners an opportunity to try.
