Bristol, UK – Bristol based indie studio, Lo-Fi Games, are pleased to announce that its ‘Sword-Punk’ open world PC title Kenshi, will have the final quarter of its vast and atmospheric sandbox world unveiled at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2018! Kenshi features the largest RPG game world since Daggerfall, stretching over 870 square kilometers. The final segment of the map will introduce final bosses, more mysteries, lost history and additional factions.
Hugely popular among hardcore PC gamers, Kenshi became a recent phenomenon in Japan with fan created over 1,400 videos on Nicovideo and Japanese MOD uploaded every day. A high percentage of the game’s 32,000+ Japanese players have already racked up over 100 hours in game per player!
“Kenshi means swordsman in Japanese, and while we were inspired by the culture, the game isn’t about Japan,” commented Chris Hunt, CEO and head developer of Lo-Fi Games. “We haven’t officially released Kenshi in the translated version, so we were pleasantly surprised when we started to see a huge number of players downloading the early access version this year. It’s amazing to see the creativity and dedication of our Japanese fans, we can’t wait to hear what they have to say about the new map at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2018”.
Lo-Fi Games will be exhibiting Kenshi at the Indie Game Corner of TOKYO GAME SHOW 2018 at: Hall 9 Booth B26.
Kenshi is a single player sandbox PC game set in a vast and atmospheric Sword-Punk style open world. With a mix of RPG elements, squad-based control and city-building features, gameplay is completely free-roaming and open: enjoy the freedom and potential to do whatever you want.
Set in an unrelenting world of bloodthirsty cannibals, starving bandits, brutal slavers and wild beasts, survival alone is a grueling struggle… You are not the chosen one. You’re not great and powerful. You don’t have more ‘hitpoints’ than everyone else. You are not the center of the universe, and you are
not special. Unless you work for it.
