Konami promoted its Executive Vice President, Tomohiro Uesugi, to President of Konami Digital.
In a statement that was published in Gamasutra, Uesugi said,
I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the head of our talented and passionate employees, and I have a deep respect for our community of fans.
“We will focus on our talent and iconic brands as we continue to provide innovative products for even deeper and more enjoyable experiences to our customers.”
Uesugi joined Konami as Digital Entertainment Executive VP in 2013, and will be replacing current President, Tomoyuki Tsuboi, who will be returning to Japan to join Konami’s financial division.
Konami has published Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Dance Dance Revolution, Pro Evolution Soccer, Contra and Gradius, and many others.
