Ankama, the publisher of popular MMOs, Wakfu and Dofus, has teamed up with video game developer Blue Banshee to release a new RPG adventure game called Maliki: Poison of the Past. Available on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, the single-player game is inspired by the comic book of the same name and features turn-based combat and exploration. The game is now available for pre-order on the independent platform Kunekune.fr.
Maliki: Poison of the Past is based on the comic book series that has been in existence for 20 years, with 8 volumes selling over 300,000 copies worldwide. The game is developed by Blue Banshee, co-created by Souillon, the author and creator of Maliki, who says, “Maliki has always been a transmedia universe, with the comic book, the novel, music, and animation. Exploring it as a video game was long overdue, it just needed the stars to align (we pushed them a bit…).”
