Maple World Popular Mobile Trading Card Game Receives Powerful New Character and More
Seoul – April 26, 2018 – MapleStory Blitz, the popular trading card game (TCG) set in the beloved and recognizable universe of MapleWorld, continues to deliver fresh content with its latest update Luminous: The Guardian of Equilibrium. This huge content update allows players to utilize the unique powers of the all-new character Luminous, along with an exclusive quest and card pack. MapleStory Blitz is the premier competitive trading card game (TCG) rebirth of the classic MapleStory roleplaying game (RPG) from NEXON Korea Corporation, subsidiary of NEXON Co., Ltd. (“Nexon”) (3659.TO), a worldwide leader in free-to-play online and mobile games. The Luminous update goes live today until Wednesday, May 9 for iPhone and Android.
MapleStory Blitz allows players to battle in real-time across three action-packed lanes with “cardified” Maple World monsters and skills. Luminous, the Guardian of Equilibrium, is most known for his grand achievements and contribution in sealing the Black Mage in the original beloved MapleStory. He offers players new skills that ready to be honed and mastered, including:
- Armageddon – Eliminates all enemy monsters and summons the highest-cost monster from player’s deck;
- Memorize – Acquires one ‘Memorize’ effect of adding the same card previously used back to the player’s deck;
- Ender – Defeats an enemy and silences it;
- Equilibrium – All players gain Mana equal to the number of times the player swapped between Sunfire and Eclipse.
Along with the all-new hero, today’s Luminous update delivers new content to players, including:
- New Cards – The Luminous content update comes with the Luminous Exclusive Card Pack;
- Companions – Luminous’ companions Lania, Vieren, Arin, and more join players for combat on the MapleStory Blitz battlefield;
- Event Quests – The first event challenges players to obtain ten stamps to earn a rare ‘Luminous Gift Box” and the second rewards players with a “Special Luminous Portrait” for reaching level 5 as Luminous;
- In-Game Improvements – The ‘Bulk Open’ option has been added to Loot Boxes and existing cards have improved balances.
MapleStory Blitz is available for download for iPhone and Android.
