eSports organization Immortals and Microsoft announced today that they have partnered to host a series of events in 2018 focused on increasing access to eSports by targeting both students and minority communities in gaming. Executives from Immortals, which owns and operates the Los Angeles Valiant franchise in Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League, and Microsoft will be appearing together on a panel this afternoon at the Milken Institute’s 2018 Global Conference (“So You Want to be an eSports Owner?”) to discuss the partnership.
More details related to these events will be announced shortly. The first, part of the Los Angeles Valiant’s “Be Valiant” community event series, takes place on May 19 at the Microsoft Lounge in Culver City. More information can be found at www.lavaliant.com.
