Wakefield, UK, 20th September – Award-winning international games label and veteran games developer Team17 is proud to announce that following the recent partnership with leading mid-market Private Equity firm LDC, Chris van der Kuyl joins the company as non-executive Chairman.
Chris co-founded, co-owns and is Chairman of 4J Studios along with business partner and 4J CEO Paddy Burns. 4J is responsible for bringing the multimillion selling Minecraft to all game console formats.

Team17 has recently acquired Mouldy Toof Studios and the award winning, multimillion selling franchise The Escapists following a partnership with Private Equity Firm LDC which has invested £16.5million to support the continued growth of the company.
Alongside LDC, 4J Studios founders have invested in a minority stake in Team 17 as part of the aforementioned deal.
