The Moroccan-inspired Metroidvania Mira and the Legend of the Djinns, published by Assemble Entertainment and developed by Little Knight Games, will be receiving a demo in conjunction with June Next Fest. The creators are excited to hear from players and collaborate with the community to mold the creation of the game. June Next Fest, which takes place from June 10th to June 17th, is when players can expect to see Mira work her magic. The demo is available until the end of June.

The Desert and Ruins sections of the game will be included in the Steam trial, showcasing some of the puzzles and different fighting techniques like dash and projectile strikes. As you go through the demo, you’ll learn more about the fascinating lore and backstory of Mira.
Moroccan culture and spiritual customs served as inspiration for the famous 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania Mira and the Legend of the Djinns. As you advance through the game, you’ll explore, battle a variety of adversaries, and find new powers, items, and equipment. You may quickly swap between weapons and elemental modes in the fighting system, which places an emphasis on experimentation and fluidity. Mira’s blazingly quick pacing will keep you alert as you destroy opponents over its stunning courses.
Four distinct weaponry will be at your disposal; they are Solar, Celestial, Infernal, and Lunar, the four Primal Elements that symbolize the abilities and characteristics of Djinns. As you get access to additional powers, you should aim to defeat adversaries in grand fashion. There are a tonne of new moves that you may learn and use to defeat your opponents.
Treasure hunter Yuba finds that not all ancient treasures belong in a museum, having found them hidden among the wreckage of the Fallen Amazgesh kingdom. There, Yuba encounters Mira the Djinn, a race that humanity has long since lost contact with. Together, the two work their way out of the ruins and find Mira’s forgotten memories throughout the quest.
Mira and the Legend of the Djinns Key Features:
- Explore a vast Metroidvania map with Yuba and Mira, full of hidden passageways, treasure, and combat around every turn
- A Special Inspiration: The goal of the production team is to create a game that is deeply rooted in Moroccan mythology and culture, while also expressing and celebrating it
- Questions and Answers: Begin a gripping story with more questions than answers, but gradually start to solve the mystery of Mira’s connection to the destroyed world and the Fallen Amazgesh
- Fight to the Finish: Players have complete control over a sophisticated action combat system to confuse and stun their opponents.
Players can wishlist Mira and the Legend of the Djinns ahead of Next Fest, as the game will be available for PC via Steam later this year. Join the official Assemble Discord server and follow Assemble Entertainment on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Steam for more information.
