Drawing heavily from classics such as Kirby and Mega Man, the game features a “copy & mix” mechanic that gives the player the ability to craft spells by mixing copied enemy abilities
Brazilian project Moira reached its target goal of 12,000 euros on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and still has a couple of weeks before the campaign closes.
Moira is a spellcrafting action-platformer by Onagro Studios. Players will control Rubick, a young magician with the ability of mimicking the powers of your enemies and then combining those powers into new unique spells. As Rubick can fuse copied abilities into completely new ones, Moira promises us to fuse action-platforming, tight combat and devious bosses with exploration, secrets and lots of puzzles into a unique and endearing game.
Stretch goals of the crowdfunding includes the creation of a Bonus World at 13,000 euros, an Extra Combinable Power at 16,000 euros, and a version for WiiU – and perhaps other consoles – at 36,000 euros.
Moira has been Greenlit on Steam and is slated for a 2017 release for PC, Mac and Linux. You can play the demo right now as well as help support the game on Kickstarter.
