MXGP 2021 Review for Steam

MXGP 2021, the newest and brightest addition to the MXGP gaming series by developer and publisher Milestone. In this fast-paced racing game, players take control of their very own motocross racer. Get ready to strap on your helmets, and start your engines for this new and exciting game!

This was the first MXGP game I have played in the series, and I thought it was a blast! There are multiple game modes that one can play, and they are all different and exciting! The first and main game mode is career. Like many other racing games, players are allowed to make their own teams or join exciting teams, and go head to head against others racers. Depending on how well you do, the story will change and progress and new opportunities will open up for players. Overall this game mode was pretty fun, and I liked all of the different changing aspects of the game that were going on.

One of my favorite parts of MXGP 2021 is the playground. Players could do whatever they wanted! With complete freedom over the game, players could make new game modes, maps, challenges, etc., very easily! I also enjoyed the crazy routes that other players made! Since I played this game on PC, I was able to visit the Steam Community and see what other players made! I definitely think this was a great addition to the game, and think more racing games should include this feature.

The actual game mechanics and graphics were pretty awesome! I found it very easy to learn the controls, and got pretty good at the game after a couple races! The graphics are stunning, and one can find themselves being lost in how realistic they are! The games sounds are also very realistic, and help make you feel like you are actually racing on the track!

There was only one downside to MXGP 2021. The major complaint that many people have had about this game is the repetitiveness. Personally, this is the first game in the MXGP series that I have played, so it all felt fresh to me! However, if you are not new to this game series, that is something to take into consideration. From what I have seen of gameplay from other similar games, the gameplay, physics, graphics, and everything else are all very similar to previous games. It is definitely something you should think of before you spend your money on the game!

Other than that, I totally enjoyed MXGP 2021. The graphics, gameplay, and playground of the game are very fun! I enjoyed the amount of customization and gameplay the players were given, it felt like a refresher to many of the other racing games I have played. I definitely would recommend this game to any racing fanatics, or anyone who has not played this series before.
