Nintendo Download Update (August 7, 2025)

The following content is available for Nintendo Download this week:

• Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2:
  • GRADIUS ORIGINS – The GRADUUS ORIGINS collection, which includes 17 versions of six arcade classics—GRADIUS, SALAMANDER, LIFE FORCE, GRADUUS II, GRADUUS III, and SALAMANDER 2—invites you to explore deep space and battle unrelenting alien forces. The eagerly anticipated GRADUUS III AM Show version and a brand-new release, SALAMANDER III, are also included in this compilation. Pilot your ship through dangerous enemy lines, upgrade your weapons and master the intense, fast-paced gameplay that is the hallmark of the GRADIUS series. Rewind, save anywhere, less hit detection, invincible mode, and other new features are all part of the gameplay. Today marks the release of GRADIUS ORIGINS for the Nintendo Switch.
  • Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 – Use the strength of formed links to vanquish demons! Take on the role of Tanjiro and enjoy the Hashira Training Arc, the Entertainment District Arc, and the Swordsmith Village Arc from the television series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. There are more than 40 characters to pick from, including the nine Hashira, the Demon Slayer Corps’ top swordsmen. Dual Ultimates and Gear are two examples of the new additions. With up to one person, take on new challenges both offline and online! The Nintendo Switch version of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is currently available.
  • Chillin’ by the Fire – Players can construct and tend to campfires in a number of tranquil settings, such as the beach, woods, and snow-capped mountain tops, in this campfire simulation game. To progress, battle varying climates and weather conditions and build your campfire to Level 10. Using GameShare2 or the internet, get up to four friends or family members together around the fire. Chillin’ by the Fire, which is currently available for the Nintendo Switch 2 system, will help you calm down and rediscover the simple pleasure of simply sitting about and watching a campfire grow in a world that is constantly in a hurry.
  • Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – With English voiceovers, original and remixed tunes by series composer Kenji Ito, and much more, the classic non-linear RPG adventure triumphantly returns in a full remake. Select your protagonist from a variety of options, defend your empire in calculated conflicts, and watch as the plot adapts to your decisions. Currently available for the Nintendo Switch 2 is Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven.

Demos:

• Drag x Drive: Global Jam – On August 9 and 10, Nintendo will be holding a demo event for Drag x Drive: Global Jam! During the following hours, Nintendo Switch 2 users who are members of Nintendo Switch Online can download the demo and play hoops with friends for free: PT on August 9 from 3 to 7 a.m., August 9 from 5 to 9 p.m., and August 10 from 9 to 1 p.m. Before the complete Drag x Drive game for the Nintendo Switch 2 comes on August 14, practice your moves and strategies!
