This is Gaming Cypher’s PS4 review (done by BamfAce) of Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas by leading video game publisher, FDG Entertainment and developer Cornfox & Brothers.
This week I had the exciting chance to play Oceanhorn- Monsters of Uncharted Seas. When I heard, “Zelda style game for PS4 and Xbox one,” I was sold.
Oceanhorn is an adventure style game on the same lines as Zelda- A Link to the Past. First thing I wanted to do was to be overtaken by the amazing compositions by Nobuo Uematsu (considered by many the master of video game music composition), Kalle Yitalo and Kenji Ito. But, there there was a quest ahead. In a similar fashion you have to find a sword, arrows and yes – the master keys.
Oceanhorn will have you hooked and not even know it. Puzzle after puzzle you creep along until Boom! – a boss battle. When all else fails throw a bomb, the best weapon in the game.
I did wish that the rocks in the game would remain still on switches that move up or down walls, because once they don’t stay, you get locked behind and have to reload. However, this only occurred on the first island. In addition, I really wished that the ship could do a bit more.

Overall, Oceanhorn- Monsters of Uncharted Seas is an adventure game that’s fun and easy for anyone to pick up the controller and be a true hero. I rate is a solid 8.5 out of 10.
Oceanhorn – Monster of Uncharted Seas is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for $14.99. The game is also available on Steam. For more information about FDG Entertainment or Oceanhorn – Monster of Uncharted Seas, please visit http://www.fdg-entertainment.com.
