First of all, we would like to give a shoutout to everyone for playing a really strong season thus far–we are very impressed! At the present, the top three teams that have emerged from the North American league are Team Dayless, Team Omen Crusaders, and Team E.D.G.E. The match we want to highlight this week was between Teams Fissure and Vision (previously known as CF Onyx). There were several individual performances worthy of mention: in the first map, Timewornhippo (Team Fissure) was able to create space for his DPS teammates while consistently denying the opponents’ DPS ultimates. Additionally, Rerezy (Team Fissure) popped off on Widowmaker during the second map, inflicting tons of damage and executing critical head shots that destroyed key enemies. Additionally, Jr_Tico12 (Team Fissure) was able to time his ultimates perfectly in order to decimate the optimal number of players. However, in the third map, Health X_X pulled Team Vision to victory by activating his ultimate, D.Va’s Destruction, at the right time and allowing his teammates to acquire the objective. In the end, Team Fissure won 2 rounds to 1, with Team Vision winning the final map. Also in case some of you missed it, the EU League streaming was postponed until this coming Sunday, July 22, due to the World Cup showtime.
Looking ahead, the featured match to look out for is Team CDTB (Cartel De Though Bois) versus the Osh Tekk Warriors. Both have top tier players within the league stacking every key position, such as Goku-511 (Osh Tekk Warriors) playing as one of the best Pharahs and Tarnys (CDTB) as one of the best Tracers. Tarnys is also a well-known YouTuber, a very public figure in the gaming community (Check out his channel here! (https://www.youtube.com/user/XxTARNYSxX). From the moment I first played Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy on the original Xbox, I have always had an avid curiosity and enthusiasm for video games.
