PAX East 2023: Strayed Lights Impressions

At PAX Rising during PAX East 2023, we tried out this gorgeous game set out in a dark world, Strayed Lights by developer Embers.

If you have played Shadow of Colossus and love the challenging boss fight with Parry mechanics which is kinda like Sekiro, you will love Strayed Lights. 

Strayed Lights is a beautiful looking and combat heavy game, which put players in a dark enveloped world where our character of light shines bright, the player has mix of fire like and water like powers, where you can easily switch between the two types of attack, and players will mostly how to parry most of the mobs/boss attack to increase the stagger gauge depending on what type of attack the enemy is doing, this provides a bit of complexity as sometimes in main boss fights they switch between attacks frequently and will need to have player to adapt to the attacks.

There is corruption going around and players will have to explore the lands to remove it. Based on the developers, Strayed Lights will be approximately 6 hours long, and will allow players to jump between different maps.

Strayed Lights will launch April 25 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GoG.
