Greetings Gamers, Greg from Gaming Cypher here to impress upon you all my thoughts and feelings about a wonderful upcoming platformer, Pepper Grinder, from Ahr Ech as the developer and publisher Devolver Digital. Playing this preview was a fluid combination that is somewhere between Sonic mixed with MegaMan. Pepper, the main character players control, crashes on a desert island with a drill and extreme drilling prous. Pepper uses her drill’s inertia to speed through soft soil and pop out the other side with enough force to make it to the next dirt patch. Building players stills to understand what can be drilled and what is part of solving the puzzle of the level. Pepper can use her drill to dig or vanquish enemies but both offer dangers, obviously treasure stealing enemies are dangerous but the soft earth can contrain traps as well like mines or other obsticles
In this PC early access of a possible 8 bit classic in the making there was a more than adequate amount of change to keep early players like myself on our drill tips and this will surely be the case in the full game, keeping challenging levels to come full constant variety that keeps the game play feeling fresh. I am looking forward to a full release in 2024 where ill get more time with the the giant drill, grappling hooks, and guns.
