Project Genesis has wrapped up the first closed playtest session that was held on February 1, 2019. This initial pipeline playtest provided the opportunity for improvement in future Pre-Alpha tests. The greatest part of the experience, however, was seeing the first group of Ambassadors having fun just playing together and voicing their enthusiasm.
For those players that have already signed up on the Project Genesis website, the developers want to thank you for showing your interest at such an early stage. The excitement expressed in Discord by all future Test Pilots has been a positive and motivating experience.
Producer Terry Hammer explains,
“This early testing has allowed us to refine our onboarding experience as we look ahead to our Open Alpha later this year. These benefits include network stress testing, pipeline process improvements, and strategies for compilation of feedback for the fastest implementation in game.”
The wider Limited Pre-Alpha stage of playtesting will begin in late March and the Project Genesis team both encourages and looks forward to meeting the newest additions to the Test Pilot team.
Terry Hammer continues continues,
“Specific feedback has allowed us to focus development into the areas of the game where they will have the highest return of value to players in the short and long term. We look forward to future feedback in order to fine tune internal resources for the biggest benefit to Project Genesis players.”
If watching this unique genre of space combat and first-person shooter mashup go from early stage development to release while implementing suggestions from the community sounds like a fascinating experience, simply sign up on Project Genesis’ website and get involved in Discord.
As a new added benefit to Alpha sign ups, the team has introduced a monthly newsletter that will have information about playtesting, updates, and sometimes exclusives, like never before released screenshots.
