Mumbai – Lifelike Studios are eager to let the world check out Rogue Heist, their 6v6 team-based third-person shooter on Steam. The Mumbai-based studio is pleased to announce that Pre-Orders are now live on their official site, which grants access to the closed beta tests, along with a host of additional goodies. The main game mode “Heist” is going to be on display during the beta, as the focus of the first weekend-long test. Starting this Friday June 14th through Monday June 17th, Pre-Purchase players and those selected through contests on Discord are invited to try the game out for free during its first closed beta event.
The first Closed Beta test will be running daily at specific times, to really test the servers. The times are:
- 12 PM ET to 2 PM ET
- 9 AM PT to 11 AM PT
- 4 PM to 6 PM UK
- 12 am JST to 2 am JST
During the Rogue Heist closed beta, aspiring thieves will be able to form up into crews of six before entering into battle against another crew. The goal is, of course, to hack into an ambushed convoy’s safe to loot as many high-value packages as possible all while defending your stolen goods from the enemy. This is known as Heist Mode, which gives Rogue Heist its name, and we suspect it to be the game’s most-played format, though the live version will have several other gameplay types available to mix things up.
Rogue Heist players can choose from roles that include Sniper, Assault, Support, and Hacker. Each role is crucial in snagging as much loot as possible and protecting it from the enemy crew that is seeking to do the same. The choice is yours: Attack, defend, loot, or spot. Strategic thieves will prosper, while those who just run and gun might fall to craftier foes.
