Developer Ice Code Games—creators of the critically acclaimed Hard West 2—and Tripwire Presents, the publishing division of Tripwire Interactive that specializes in releasing fantastic games from other independent studios, unveiled a wealth of new details and the most detailed look yet at their upcoming turn-based tactics game, Rogue Waters. The roguelite game is presently available for pre-purchase and wishlisting on both Steam and the Epic Game Store, with a 20% discount off the regular price of $29.99 on Steam through September 29. Rogue Waters will launch on Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store on September 30.
In an effort to provide players a glimpse into the tactical intricacies of the game during conflict both on board and on land as they pursue wealth, power, and vengeance on the cunning captain who betrayed them, the publisher released a brand-new Developer Walkthrough video featuring Creative Director Przemek Ślęzak.

The tactical turn-based rogue-lite Rogue Waters takes place in a pirate world where a dreadful curse has taken hold. Recruit a motley crew of pirates and train them into ferocious warriors; make friends with and summon legendary creatures from pirate mythology; navigate a constantly evolving game world; and manipulate the map to your advantage in a novel take on tactical turn-based combat. Your orders are awaited by the crew and the Kraken.

- Become the Captain – As you plot your journey through the dynamic globe and prepare your naval and melee combat strategy, embrace the craziness of life as a pirate.
- Assemble Your Crew – Add new recruits to your crew, and watch them grow into the renowned pirates they were always destined to be. Each recruit has a unique skill tree that you may experiment with and master.
- Ever-Changing Land and Sea – As the gaming globe changes at random on each run, take on brand-new challenges.
- Turn the Tides – During naval combat, maneuver the terrain with your ship’s armament to give your crew an advantage in melee engagements. Map customization based on cannonballs!
- Revolutionary Melee Tactics – This novel twist on turn-based tactics will let you show off your expert tactician skills while staying completely immersed in the action. The tactics are meant to resemble the bloody dance of close-quarters and naval battle.
- Summon Creatures from the Deep – Enemies are abusing and taking advantage of creatures that are only believed to exist in myth. To be able to summon them in combat, they must defeat their captors and win their trust.
