Congratulations! You’ve successfully landed on this beautiful, untamed planet filled with natural resources and plenty of space. The next step for your mission is to tap into the world’s bounty and make it your own. Developed and published by Coffee World Studios, Satisfactory is an open world adventure game where your main focus is building the best and most productive factory you can make. With different levels of difficulty and even the ability to have your friends join in on your exploits, this factory building game will have you addicted.
Whether it is resource gathering, exploration, or building your base, how you start and play is all up to you. There are main objectives and hints to move the progression along, but aside from that, the narrative of your adventure can be as wild or tame as you decide it to be. Be a benevolent pioneer, just trying to survive and enjoy what the foreign environment has to offer, or just go absolutely insane with conveyor belt building madness. The world and the factory are yours to shape and really, nothing is off the table.
Resources are scattered throughout the land, so be sure to strategically plan on where you settle, how you will build, and how to access and gather as much as you can for the greatest amount of productivity. Luckily, it doesn’t seem like resources can be depleted and you will be able to continually harvest from without fear of draining the planet into a withered husk. The more you upgrade your central hub, the more supplies you will need and the better your constructions will become. With hidden items and materials scattered throughout the land, further research can also help you unlock incredible equipment or new energy sources.
Do be careful of the indigenous wildlife as many of the animals aren’t as friendly as they may seem. The territorial creatures tend to pack a nasty hit and sometimes not even your trusty xeno-zapper will be enough to defend you. If death is unavoidable, do not worry as you will respawn at your cozy base, alive but with no items in your inventory. Instead, all your on-person belongings will be neatly packed in a crate, waiting for your return at the last place you died. Sort of like a reminder of your mistakes and how you can improve.
Please take no heed or feel the guilty conscience of fundamentally invading a peaceful planet to satisfy the unquenchable desire to build and expand. Just continue to focus on your productivity and fully enjoying the exploration of this new frontier. With so many beautiful sights to experience, fantastical creatures to study, and awesome constructions to create, you will be far too busy to question those unimportant questions of rights or wrongs. After all, how can you focus on anything else but the satisfaction of watching how much your factory grows and what else you can build next.
PROS: Beautiful graphics, amazing open world concept, pleasing music, great fun for all ages.
Cons: Can become very time-consuming and grow stale overtime as there is no story or plot to drive the game forward.

Video games have always been a huge influence in my life and have definitely shaped me to who I am today . Some of my best memories growing up were the many adventures and stories I was able to experience and become immersed in. If my hands aren't either covered in clay, typing, editing, creating, or helping shoving food in my mouth, they would either be gripped to a controller, tapping away at the screen of my phone, or clicking away on my PC. I am always up for trying something new because why live just one life when you can live many.
