Sennheiser Launches ‘Season of Giving’ Charity Program to Benefit Gaming Communities

Donations of 1,500 headsets, worth over $164,000, made to seven charities globally

Ballerup, Denmark – Renowned audio brand Sennheiser is giving back to the gaming community through its Season of Giving program, an initiative designed to spread the joy of gaming to those in need. Sennheiser is donating 1,500 special edition GSP 305 gaming headsets to seven charities across the globe, and an additional 150 headsets directly through Sennheiser’s own social media channels.

Participating charities work extensively around the world to support gaming communities, or to support communities through gaming. Each organization will receive hundreds of Sennheiser’s popular GSP 305 gaming headset, a special edition variant of the award-winning GSP 300. With a combined retail value of over $164,000 and delivering superior acoustic sound coupled with a broadcast quality noise-cancelling microphone, 1,500 GSP 305s will be distributed to dedicated charities, including:

Child’s Play – U.S.

Female Legends and Pink Orange – Sweden

Gamer Aid – Australia

Gaming Aid – Germany

Special Effect – UK

Your Corps – New Zealand

Sennheiser encourages any gamers who are able to donate this holiday season to consider these charities, directly or through the AmazonSmile program while buying gifts, to further connect with the broader gaming community.

Andreas Jessen, Senior Director of Product Management & Marketing at Sennheiser, commented:

“The holiday season is the time of year to spend quality time with family and friends. It reminds us of the importance of getting involved with, and giving back to, our communities. Gaming, and the amazing community surrounding it, has been a huge positive force and massive source of happiness for many. This holiday season, we’ve chosen to support a number of gaming-related charities that bring joy into people’s lives and help to make this season even more magical for them.”

“For 16 years, Child’s Play has been working with the gaming community to help gamers to give back,” said Travis Eriksen, Executive Director of Child’s Play. “We help normalize the patient experience for kids in over 180 hospitals worldwide by bringing them games and toys, while educating hospital staff on the therapeutic power of both. These headsets will allow hospitalized children to immerse themselves and talk to their friends while playing. We are so excited to share them with our network to empower kids through gaming.”
