SHOP TITANS Review for Steam

Shop Titans, by developer/publisher Kabam Games, is a shop management simulation role-playing game. In it, you manage a shop that sells weapons, armor, and other wares to adventurers.

There admittedly isn’t much to this game. You choose an item to be crafted. The item is displayed on an item rack if there is room for it. Random adventurers come to your shop, look around, and then ask for something on display—although on occasion they will ask for something you don’t have. If you don’t have the item, you can suggest another item, tell them you don’t have it, or take a minute of in-game time to make the item if you have the required materials. That is the majority of Shop Titans. There are no market trends, no time periods where certain items sell more or less than usual, and no upkeep costs to worry about meeting.

You have energy points in the store, but those are used for haggling the price. You can gain points by giving discounts, or you can spend points to increase the price.

While most of your resources are generated over time, some of them need to be gathered on quests. While you can hire adventurers to do the quest and arm them with weapons and armor from your shop, you don’t actually take part in the quest. You simply wait 15 minutes, watch a fight between the selected adventurers and a monster, and then gain the selected resource if your adventurers are successful.

Overall, Shop Titans felt more like a mobile game than a full release. The game even has microtransactions for boosts and high-end adventurers! Though to be fair, you can unlock the high-end adventurers on your own with a great deal of time and patience. As such, I think a fair rating for Shop Titans is 7/10.
