Sifu developed by Sloclap has introduced the final update for the game, bringing some quality-of-life changes alongside new challenges in the arena. These new challenges bring in a breath of fresh air for the game and showcases the new skill ceiling necessary for player to obtain. Sifu by itself is an excellent game with a harsh difficulty for those unfamiliar to actions game requiring the player to master timing. Aside, from the arena challenges, the quality-of-life changes allow players to have some more fun when playing the game in general. While this may mean the developers are finished with the game players who have become fans of Sloclap will be looking forward to any new projects the company will be undertaking in the future.
The new arena challenges are going to be no problem for players familiar with the game as it builds upon what the player base has experienced overtime while playing. However, these new challenges will truly test players even making some veterans of the game retry a couple of times. Moreover, the difficulty of these challenges feels exhilarating especially when a difficult mission is completed as that rush of emotions is overwhelming and invigorating. This plays into the fact that there are some players who enjoy a challenge and the thrills that come with it. While the sheer thrill of overcoming a difficult challenge is amazing, it can also pose a problem who have very little experience. However, with these new challenges locked behind collectibles in order to access them as well as the basic requirement needed to unlock the arena in the first place. These new challenges do not change up the gameplay formula too much so player will be happy to know nothing to extreme has changed as a whole. One change especially seen is in the capture the area arena challenges were the flow of combat just feels a lot better compared to the previous ones that have been released. Aside from new challenges the game the final update will include new modifiers, and a replay editor.
These new additions to the final update are some great quality of life changes to the game allowing players to try new modifiers, and showcase highlight moments in the game. These new modifiers can make the game more difficult for those looking for a greater challenge making the game great for no hits runs especially. Furthermore, there are some funny modifiers for example low gravity allowing certain things to be affected less allowing for some hilarious moments in game. While these newly added modifiers are fun and allow for a greater challenge, the replay editor will allow players to amass a collection of highlight worthy moments in the game
Sloclap’s final update for Sifu is a good send off to the game as these new challenges are fun and make the whole experience of relearning the game a good challenge for those who have moved on. With this being a final update Sloclap the gaming community will be looking forward to any future releases by the company. Moreover, this final update is a good send off for the game incorporating various new arena challenges, and the replay editor. While this is a bit disheartening that players will know that this is the game’s final update the fact that the developers decided to add some more features to the game shows that they still care. Sifu’s final update, makes the game feel a lot more fun and knowing that this game is an indie title showcases that smaller developers can make games as fun as some triple A titles. Sifu in its entirety is a solid 8/10 game that is worth the experience of playing.
