Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 developed by Furyu Corporation and Lancarse Ltd. and published by Bushiroads inc. This game is perfect as a simulator game for the trading card game Vanguard, and offers players the best chance to play an online simulator for the game a perfect for pack openings as well. Moreover, the story takes on a more visual novel focus with most of the gameplay coming from the card game. As for the narrative, it can take quite awhile due to the nature of visual novels, as people will need to read. However, the game is fun as an online simulator and is beneficial for the overall health of the card game, especially newer players who want to get into the trading card game without too much trouble. Also, with how in depth the trading card game can be Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 is an excellent simulator for players wanting to test out a new deck before building it in real life.
Gameplay can be split between the card game and visual novel element incorporated in the game. The game revolves around the trading card game Cardfight!! Vanguard and can be broken down into two ways of playing the game. These two ways are in the form of Vintage mode and Standard mode, that follow certain rulings in how a 50-card deck is to be made. Moreover, these two modes of play require the player to make different decks to play them.
As for how players will get a deck or make one to play the game, they are given one free structure deck at the start of the game to help them learn the rules and play the game. Moreover, the game slowly goes into more well thought out decks with a higher level of depth and allow for an even greater level of agency to the player. This heightened level of player agency can be a little steep for those who are inexperienced, but allows players the chance to immerse themselves into the card game entirely. By having a greater level of agency allows players to feel a deeper connection with the game as the deck the player has made is their own creation. This is similar to other trading card games such as Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Pokémon all rely on player agency and interaction for fun. Another thing to take note of is how players will get more cards for their deck is through the shop by purchasing card packs, or structure decks to obtain them. Players will get victory points as they progress through the story and online matches and can use these points to buy packs in the shop. If players get duplicates for cards, they can obtain crafting points to make cards in the deck building section of the menu and build to their hearts content as long as they have enough points. Aside from that, the game does have an overarching narrative that expands a bit more from the previous installment.
While the gameplay will take center stage players will be able to enjoy a more narrative driven game with a visual novel look. The focus of the narrative on a tournament arc and more or less focuses on that with returning characters with more of a focus on character interactions.
Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 developed by Furyu Corporation and Lancarse Ltd. and published by Bushiroads inc is a well-made simulator similar to Yugioh Master Duel in general terms. Moreover, while this game is not free to play it however only requires the player to purchase the game once and just play the game a rare commodity in today’s microtransaction based games. This sets it apart from other official online simulators as the only way for the player to make new decks is to put time and effort into the game and become dedicated to getting better as they play. This can be said for any skill the player can acquire, but this is especially noticeable in card games due to the skill ceiling, presented in those games. This game is what Vanguard players want from a simulator and the story mode is just an added bonus on top to make the whole experience worthwhile. Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 is a solid 8/10 game for what it is trying to achieve.
Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 is available for PC via Steam.

I would describe myself when interacting with games as a strategist with a pension for stealth and loud explosions.
