Square Enix Collective helps independent developers. Take a look through the projects published here, and let them know if you’d back a game through crowdfunding or not by voting. Even better, help to shape that game idea by leaving your feedback in the comments section. Each game’s campaign ends after 28 days, and if the response is strong, they may lend their support as well when it lands on Indiegogo or Kickstarter.
Columnae: A Past Under Construction
by Belgrade-based Moonburnt Studio – being developed in Unity for PC, Mac and Linux
COLUMNAE: A Past Under Construction is a 2.5D non-linear point & click adventure game with elements such as puzzles and dialogues set in a post-apocalyptic steampunk world. In addition to those familiar mechanics, COLUMNAE introduces the concept of retrocausality which along with non-linear nature of the gameplay allows the player to affect the future as well as the past of the story. The game is divided into eight chapters, but you won’t be playing them in a chronological order. The content of the currently played chapter is always the result of the choices made in all the previously played chapters, and those choices will ultimately, (through one of the countless possible paths) lead to one of around eight completely different endings.
