The first open-world Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws, will premiere on August 30 for Xbox Series X|S consoles, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna, and PC through Ubisoft Connect, according to a statement released today by Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games. *Up to three days of early access are available to fans who purchase the Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game or subscribe to Ubisoft+. Pre-orders placed before August 30th will include the “Kessel Runner Bonus Pack,” which includes cosmetics for Kay’s speeder and her ship, the Trailblazer.

More information about crafty villain Kay Vess and her friend Nix’s quest for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity was disclosed by Ubisoft. The unwavering rebellion diverts the Empire’s attention throughout this time, which creates a golden period for the underworld. Being an expert thief, Kay’s antics draw the notice of Sliro, the head of the menacing new criminal organization Zerek Besh. Kay and Nix are given a single chance to escape after Sliro puts a bounty on Kay’s head: pull off one of the biggest heists ever. To succeed, Kay and Nix will have to make their way through the galaxy’s underbelly and establish a reputation among renowned criminal groups like the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Cartel, the Ashiga Clan**, and Crimson Dawn.
Julian Gerighty, Creative Director stated, “In search of true freedom, the resourceful Kay and Nix will journey through the underworld and across the Outer Rim, taking on jobs from syndicates, facing off against intimidating foes, avoiding oppressive Imperial rule and recruiting a skilled outlaw crew in order to pull off one of the greatest heists the galaxy has ever seen.”

In order to gather the necessary supplies and crew for the grand theft, Kay and Nix will journey throughout the galaxy. They will pass through several places on their journey, both well-known and unfamiliar: Canto Bight, Kijimi, Tatooine, Akiva, and the wind-blown savannah of Toshara**. Kay will travel through vibrant cities and cantinas, ride her speeder across vast open spaces, and navigate the wilds of space aboard her ship, the Trailblazer. In exciting dogfights with the Empire and other enemies, the Trailblazer will also assist them in chasing, evading, and attacking when things go wrong.
The base game of Star Wars Outlaws is expected to retail for $69.99 and be accessible through the Ubisoft Store. Players can also get the game up to three days early* by purchasing the Gold or Ultimate Edition or subscribing to Ubisoft+.
