In partnership with Hasbro and its Wizards of the Coast business, Stern Pinball, Inc., the world’s largest pinball game maker, unveiled DUNGEONS& DRAGONS: The Tyrant’s Eye, a new line of pinball games based on the renowned and adored DUNGEONS& DRAGONS (D&D) series. With iconic enemies like a red dragon, gelatinous cube, mimic, Sammaster the lich, Xanathar the beholder, and anowlbear, as well as locations like Arabel and Westgate in Faerûn, Stern Pinball players from all over the world will embark on an epic and exhilarating journey as they venture into the Forgotten Realms in honor of the game’s 50th anniversary.

Featuring artwork by prolific artist Vincent Proce, music by world-renowned composer Cris Velasco, and voice acting by a talented cast that includes Michael Dorn, Kevin Smith, Luke Gygax, Chris Prynoski, Brendon Small, Gerard Way, Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, and Marisha Ray, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Tyrant’s Eye pinball games come in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition (LE) models.
Players are selected members of the Dragonshield Guild in Stern’s DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Tyrant’s Eyepinball games, and they must destroy the dragon queen Tiamat, who is preparing to rise once more. This starts the War of Dragons, in which Xanathar, Balinor, and Sammaster are all vying for control. Under the glass, players will experience the game’s fantasy world, which combines pinball and the renowned series in a way never seen before.
The most sophisticated animatronic mech in pinball, Battle Rath the Relentless, the red dragon, has omnidirectional impact sensing technology and can intelligently respond to player actions using multi-axis motion. Players will try to destroy Rath the Relentless with pinballs and by striking the 3-bank goal, grab its treasure, in this game, which is voiced by the legendary Michael Dorn. Several pinballs erupt from Rath the Relentless’s mouth, but they are ready when he breaths his spectacular fire.In addition to protecting themselves from attacks, players can help with playfield shots by activating a metal shield between their flippers.
Explore various dungeon levels accessible through a disappearing playfield trap door, navigate through secret corridors, and experience an electromagnet-powered gelatinous cube that freezes the pinball. further elements include a treasure chest that releases mimic monsters, a store where players can purchase unique things, and further secrets to discover.
Roll the dice randomly as players unlock the game, where choices and shots dictate the campaign’s course and lead to several plot outcomes. Players can choose from a variety of paths, including characters, trinkets, weekly things, and more. After the game campaign is over, new characters will become available.
Stern’s constantly growing Insider Connected platform, which allows players to engage with the game and a global player community in a variety of ways, including regular code updates from Stern Pinball to enhance and expand the experience over time, is a stunning addition to DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Tyrant’s Eye. Players can opt to continue where they left off with Stern’s new PinSave System through Insider Connected, which includes campaign progress, inventory items, and character experience points. Each game can begin without any saved progress for a more classic pinball experience. The Limited Edition model will only be available in 740 games worldwide in remembrance of the 1974 original publication of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS (D&D). The Speaker Expression Lighting System with D&D-themed game effects, a full-color Dragon-inspired mirrored back glass, full-color reflective foil Tiamat and Xanathar high-definition cabinet decals with hand-drawn artwork by Vincent Proce, exclusive custom D&D “Dragon Red” powder-coated pinball armor, a custom designer-autographed bottom arch, an upgraded audio system, anti-reflection pinball playfield glass, a shaker motor, a sequentially numbered plaque, a signed Certificate of Authenticity, and a digital Insider Connected LE owner’s badge upon registration are all included in this highly collectible model.
