Astroneer, the accessible interplanetary survival sandbox from System Era Softworks enjoyed by more than 2 million space explorers, blasts off from Steam Early Access and Xbox One Game Preview today, Feb. 6, to explore the new frontiers of 1.0.
To celebrate the release, developer System Era Softworks has launched something else into space. Inside Xbox fans and those who tuned into Twitch watched as an Astroneer-themed Xbox One floated away into the great unknown on a weather balloon.
Fans can head over to Twitch to watch the VOD of the full stream that aired starting at 2:30 PM PT. Over the course of three hours, viewers watched as the Astroneer Xbox One traveled miles into the atmosphere, boldly going where no console has gone before.
Astroneer makes its leap into version 1.0 today.
New features include:
- 6 new colorful planets inhabited by dangerous flora and treacherous terrain
- New recipes for crafting new components to create custom vehicles and modules
- A brand-new narrative mode to guide the way as hopeful Astroneers brave uncharted worlds
- Customization options so every Astroneer can show off their own personal style
