Premise:
The Banner Saga 2 is by Stoic development studio and published by Versus Evil. The game is strongly inspired by mythology. Bringing to life a world where gods, Vikings, spellweavers, humans, sperments and centaurs exist.
Gameplay:
As the saga continues the challenges you will face will increase ten fold…
Danger will lurk at every corner you turn. If this is your first time playing the game, you can start with part two. The game lets you choose between two different storylines, at the end of the first game your choices determine which storyline carries on into the second game. I would strongly recommend playing the first game first. It is an amazing game and playing though the first game gives you more background on the characters that you will be interacting with in the second game.
You will face new foes that you have never encountered before;
and some unexpected allies…
The key to making it through the second game is your choices and strategies. As you travel you will encounter more and more people that will affect your odds of survival. Whether you choose to help everyone you meet,
spare what supplies you and can move on, or just ignore those on the road. These choices can heavily change your outcome in the game. Taking on too many people can cause fighting within the group. You may run out of supplies faster, yet not helping people may upset your current members of your caravan. There are no easy choices in the game, every action has a cause and effect.
The world this game is always changing and the task of surviving is getting harder and harder. Choosing what supplies to buy, what characters to upgrade their abilities can make all the difference or just leaving you high and dry.
As you play through the game you will soon realize that all the dangers you have faced is nothing compared to what’s coming. An unknown darkness is coming, something that is old and even your most deadliest foes are running from.
Conclusion:
After playing The Banner Saga 2, you will be counting down the days for the third and final installment to be released. You will have many questions that you need answered. Will your foes get you before this darkness arrives, will everyone stop fighting and work together against this greater enemy? Can the darkness be stopped and why is it coming now? All questions will be answered in the epic conclusion.
