Tokyo Game Show Restructuring

Last year’s Tokyo Game Show was clearly too large for the venue- it was the largest one yet boasting of 223,753 total visitors. Fans were frustrated and are hoping for a better experience this year.

This year, things are being changed around significantly in order to coordinate with this year’s theme of “Games: Limitless Evolution” and to make for a better fan experience. First thing is first – the relief of foot traffic congestion. Two new halls are being added, Hall 9 and the Event Hall of Makuhari Messe, and a modified layout that widens the passages for improved safety.

The Tokyo Game Show will take place September 19th through September 22nd at Makuhari Messe in Mihama-ku, Chiba-shi, Chiba Prefecture.
