Publisher and developer Wired Productions and Italian games studio LKA recently announced that they successfully raised $10,000 from the sale of their psychological adventure game The Town of Light, which has been donated to Take This, Inc.
The donation is in support of Take This, which educates on the importance of mental health awareness in the gaming community. The fundraising effort marks the first part of a year-long campaign for mental health awareness from Wired Productions and LKA. Proceeds from sale of The Town of Light from partnered retailers supporting the campaign — GamesPlanet, Humble Bundle, Xbox, PlayStation Store, Green Man Gaming and Steam — raised the $10,000 which has been generously donated.
Take This advocates for mental health awareness and provides “safe places” at conventions and expositions, so anyone, but especially those suffering from mental health or emotional issues, can find peace and regain calm nearby the often hectic show floor. Online, Take This offers a multitude of educational resources for those directly affected, as well as their families, friends and coworkers.
The Town of Light is now available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC through the official website and Steam.
