Additionally, the game can be found on Ubisoft+, the company’s membership service*.
Dual Front, a new permanent 6v6 mode, is introduced in Siege X. For the first time, Dual Front will combine Defenders and Attackers to capture enemy sectors while protecting their own. Players can resurrect, switch operators, and accept time-limited Neutral Sector missions during games.
Significant changes and improvements are also made to the graphics, gameplay, and music in Siege X, including:
-
Clubhouse, Chalet, Border, Bank, and Kafe are the five updated 5v5 maps that feature new lighting, shadows, and resolution enhancements at launch. In every upcoming season, three brand-new 5v5 maps will be updated..
- Players can strategically interact with the new destructible elements, such as gas pipes, metal detectors, and fire extinguishers, to outplay their opponents. Additionally, the controls for rappel navigation and momentum movement have been improved, allowing players to sprint horizontally along walls while rappelling and maneuver around building corners.
- Players can now obtain vital information through audio cues and identify the position and kind of rooms where enemy players are located on the map thanks to an audio revamp of propagation and reverberation in Rainbow Six Siege.
- A fresh approach to onboarding that aims to boost confidence and abilities.
A new Pick and Ban system, R6 ShieldGuard, the game’s complex anti-cheat strategy, and quality of life enhancements are among the other changes.
New players can play the standard game with a variety of operators, as well as Unranked, Quick Match, and Dual Front, for free starting today through Free Access***. Purchases of the Elite Edition ($19.99) and Ultimate Edition ($39.99) also grant access to Rainbow Six Siege:
