Episode 7 Act II of VALORANT launches today, introducing players to the latest map, Sunset. Inspired by Riot’s hometown of Los Angeles, Sunset features several Los Angeles cultural staples including food trucks, art deco and mission style architecture, traffic, a neon sunset and graffiti spotlighting a few local artists.
Episode 7 Act II also introduces the Imperium Skinline. Inspired by the dragons of the East and jewel materials, players will get to summon magnificent dragons of old held captive inside the jade and emerald of the new Vandal, Sheriff, Operator, Judge, and dual-wield Blades of Imperium melee–ready to consume foes in VALORANT’s most stylish finisher to date. This episode also brings players an all new Battlepass, featuring items like the RDVR Phantom, Transition Melee and Mid-Autumn Sweet Buddy.
Additionally, Premier, VALORANT’s team-based competitive system that will allow you to build a team and compete across a set of pre-scheduled matches, officially launches today. Players will be introduced to official divisions, weekly matches will now cover all 7 maps in the competitive pool, and players’ career history and results will be officially tracked from here on out. In the future, Premier will also connect with the VCT–you’ll see the first changes for this path to pro in early 2024.
