Owlcat Games, the game’s developer, is working diligently to advance Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and its forthcoming DLC, Void Shadows. A new trailer for Void Shadows featuring the Lord Captain’s newest companion and information on the significant, just released version 1.2 were recently published by the cRPG developer.

The Death Cults, according to their name, use the practice of murdering and death to worship the Emperor. After working in the background for several generations on behalf of von Valancius, one such organization has now caught the powerful Lord Captain’s notice. It is where the destinies of the Rogue Trader and Kibellah, the cult’s exceptional assassin, will entwine. Faced with the xeno menace rising from the depths of the voidship, discover how strong her loyalty is and whether something even more profound and intimate lies beneath it.

The largest game update to date, Patch 1.2 includes over 2500 visible and internal changes, such as:
- Game Balance: Deep rebalancing of out-of-sequence turns, enhancements to Pyromancy and Sanctioned Psykers, fine-tuning of late-game scaling, and many more changes
- Co-op: Play together right away! In the Prologue, there are now up to two more customizable mercenary characters available. Additional enhancements comprise desync repairs, save file size reduction, and configurable portrait transfer.
- Quality of Life and UI: Better sorting of the inventory, tooltips, the level-up and battle log screens, the star-system-marked quests, and more.
- Location and NPCs: Pathing, visual effects, backdrops, covers, and NPC appearance and variety have all been updated.
- Dialogue: Fixes and improvements for the current dialogue, new dialogue for secret companions, and epilogue slide fixes.
- Rumor System: On the map, rumor zones are now indicated.
- Cutscenes and Animations: Better timing, cameras, animations, and more animations.
- Audio and Visual Effects: Along with new sound effects and VO adjustments, there are new visual effects for abilities, auras, monster motions, and more.
- New Item Icons
- Localization: improvements and typo corrections in every language.

Owlcat Games has released Warhammer 40:000 Rogue Trader, a top-notch turn-based computer role-playing game. The main character of the game is the Rogue Trader, who is in charge of a powerful spacecraft and its crew. The fate of the Rogue Trader is entirely up to the player, whether they want to conduct gunboat diplomacy with recently found worlds, lead from the front in turn-based tactical combat, or engage in exciting voidship clashes with pirates and renegades.
In addition to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is accessible on Windows PCs via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
