Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed that starting November 1, the Wii Fit U will be made available for free for one month for North American players.
The game trial will allow players to access Wii Fit U’s full suite of 77 activities as well as GamePad functions.
Once the free month is done, players who want the full game will have to purchase a Fit Meter accessory at $19.99. The game will then be unlocked upon syncing the accessory to the game. Fils-Aime said during a Nintendo Direct conference today,
“Wii Fit U is all about ‘fun fitness’ for everyone in the family. With this special offer, Nintendo is making it easier than ever for families to get active and stay active, making now the perfect time to upgrade to Wii U. This is another example of the kind of value and variety that only Nintendo can offer.”

The free month trial will end on January 31st, and the full game will launch as a retail disc and eShop download on December 13th in North America.
