Christmas is coming early this year! Outright Games, in partnership with the Casual Brothers, are releasing a brand new game, The Grinch: Christmas Adventures, based on the beloved Dr. Seuss classic.
Get ready for Christmas cheer and mischief as the Grinch returns to the vibrant and colorful world of Who-ville. In this new adventure players will solve puzzles and find collectibles while they sneak, swing and jump through each level in an attempt to ruin Christmas for the overly cheerful Whos.
As players progress through the story, they will unlock all kinds of dastardly extras to help aid their mischief making, such as a lasso candy cane, a jumping jetpack, and the iconic Santa disguise for secret stealthy sneaking.
Remaining true to the heart of the original tale, there is no “big bad” in the game, and players will not engage in direct combat. Rather they will have to outsmart their enemies by hiding and jumping, all while stealing their precious presents!
Aged 5 and up, the game offers 2-person couch co-op mode, so friends can join the holiday fun, and parents can share this beloved story with the next generation.
Stephanie Malham, COO of Outright Games Ltd, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to bring this timeless tale to life in a new video game: “The Grinch is one of the most enduring and festive brands in entertainment, with a 60+ year history. We appreciate that Dr. Seuss Enterprises understands how video games celebrate a beloved story while modernizing a classic work for new audiences. We are grateful to bring this timeless tale to families and to be trusted with creating a new video game for this generation.”

I'm a completionist gamer who just needs to find that one last object and clear that final dungeon. I love all video games, from open world sandboxes on a console to a mindless match three on my phone. In addition to gaming and writing, I am a graduate student working on a thesis about the ancient Icelandic Sagas. Feel free to ask me anything about Vikings.
