The adorable shopkeeping game Trash Goblin, developed by independent studio Spilt Milk Studios, has a new demo released on Steam as part of Develop:Brighton’s Indie Showcase, which takes place from July 9–11. The revised demo will give players access to a previously unreleased mission and give them a chance to experience the newest version of the cozy game. Trash Goblin, one of the 10 games on display at the event, is eligible to win the Indie Showcase Award and can also be voted upon by attendees as the People’s Choice Award.
Check out the Trash Goblin Summer Trailer:
Trash Goblin is a cozy and pleasant shopkeeping game with a twist. As a goblin, you find and repair trinkets in the game! Chipping away at the mud and cruft they’re embedded in will reveal strange trinkets. Using your sponge, give them a thorough cleaning to prepare them for sale. One goblin’s rubbish is another goblin’s treasure, after all.
Customize your just restocked merchandise by upcycling trinkets into bizarre and amazing new items to satisfy the bizarre demands of your diverse clientele. Learn about your audience so that you may create bespoke items based on their preferences, which will increase your revenue.
Expand your company! Use your savings to improve your store, purchase better equipment that will allow you to restore your trinkets in more ways, increasing their value, and even grow your business to new and interesting areas of town!
The entire Trash Goblin game will include:
- 180+ accessories, baubles, and variants to locate, tidy, fix, and repurpose
- Three trinket-care minigames with eight tools to utilize
- 25+ tasks to complete; 15+ NPC characters to get to know and sell to
- Infinite clientele
- Never-ending gameplay
Spilt Milk Creative Director Andrew Smith said, “We’re over the moon that Trash Goblin has been selected to be a part of Develop:Brighton this year. Being chosen as one of only 10 games on the show floor is such fantastic validation for the team’s hard work, plus it’s some great exposure for our cheeky little Goblin game. We’re also looking forward to seeing the reaction to the new quest featured in our updated demo – we think players will enjoy the new content, and watching them play it irl will be an unbeatable way to tell if we’re hitting all the right notes!”
You can now wishlist and play the Trash Goblin Demo for PC via Steam.
