To commemorate the launch of La Motion Week Steam event, independent French developer Motion Twin, unveiled several new Windblown and Dead Cells announcements today, which now runs through October 10, 2024. Players may take advantage of a 50% discount on the critically acclaimed rogue-lite Dead Cells during the event, and they can rejoice over fresh revelations regarding the Dead Cells universe and the much awaited Early Access debut of Windblown.
The fast-paced rogue-lite Windblown, from the makers of Dead Cells, will be available on Steam in Early Access on October 24, 2024. Soon, players will be able to move quickly across enormous, dynamic islands in the sky while utilizing a range of strong weapons and equipment to take out the Sentinels, the deadly Vortex monsters that are threatening their home. Those who enjoy single-player and cooperative online multiplayer games with up to three players will not have to wait long to explore this unique environment, where quick reflexes and teamwork are essential for success.

Players will construct their Leaper utilizing hundreds of various Weapons, Trinkets, Gifts, and Fish to unleash their full ability and defeat the Sentinels—or die trying—in these distinctive biomes full of mysteries and difficult opponents. Every death marks a fresh start because the Leaper’s goal never ends. They must keep trying, learn from their mistakes, and find new Memories to expand their arsenal of build alternatives.
Players won’t have to wait until Oct. 24 to plunge into Windblown though, as a new single player demo will be accessible during the upcoming Steam Next Fest, lasting Oct. 14 through Oct. 21. With their progress carrying over into the game on October 24, players can try out the game’s early stages and get a taste of what the Early Access launch will have to offer. A special Guinea Pig skin will also become available for characters in the Early Access version of the game, suiting their status as early testers of the innumerable difficulties that lie ahead for those who take advantage of the demo.
Lastly, this week, fans can see members of the development team play the game live on the official Motion Twin YouTube channel. They will be showcasing a different perspective on the game and putting their talents to the test while attempting to survive the Vortex. Updates on Animated Series and Board Games for Fans of Dead Cells
In addition, La Motion Week honors fresh developments in previously disclosed Dead Cells endeavors, giving The Beheaded devotees even more to anticipate in the near future.
After the most recent release of Update 35, players want to explore more of the game’s universe The first episode of the English version of Dead Cells: Immortalis, an animated series developed and produced by Bobby Pills studio and ADN streaming platform in association with Motion Twin and Evil Empire, is now available for viewing on The End is Near. The series premiered on October 8. Dead Cells fans can soon experience this unique perspective on the world and its many colorful personalities, experiencing well-known places and stories in a whole new light. It features a funny, original story about The Beheaded and his numerous deaths and escapades. Additional details about the release of the whole series will be published soon on the official Motion Twin social media outlets.
Additionally, fans can also look forward to the imminent release of Dead Cells: The Rogue-Lite Board Game, coming to select stores Nov. 8 in France, Belgium, Switzerland, UK, United States, Canada, and Australia with Spain and China’s localized versions also coming next year. Up to four people can each play as one of the four Beheaded in an innovative twist on the Dead Cells paradigm, diving into a cooperative rogue-lite adventure.
