Developer Owlcat's New Dev Diary Features New Look into Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy

Publisher Owlcat Games has released a dev diary that allows prospective players to peek behind the scenes of the upcoming party-based tactical cRPG Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. Dark Heresy portrays the gloomy, desolate, gothic side of the Imperium as perceived through the Inquisition and is based on one of the most recognizable role-playing games in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. See how the team expanded on the lessons they gained from Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, revealing novel additions, brand-new gameplay elements, and their approach to creating the game’s unique tone.

Dark Heresy is a realm of ruin, a collapsing empire that is rotting from the inside out and is rife with deceit, terror, and insanity. The followers of the Inquisition will not be rewarded with glory or remembered after death. The acolytes of the Inquisition live in silence and shadow, while Rogue Traders bravely venture into the unknown, clad in wealth and ancient authority. No riches await them at the conclusion of their journey, no voidships carry their symbol, and no Xenos relics litter their vaults.

Check out the New Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy Dev Diary:

The Owlcat team added new game mechanics and updated the fighting system in Dark Heresy, along with the story changes players may anticipate. The team worked on enhancing combat encounters and revamping the class system after hearing player feedback from Rogue Trader. The Investigation mechanism, a brand-new interactive minigame in Dark Heresy, will also be released. Inquisitors will be able to look into crimes, evaluate the evidence, and provide judgments.

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is heading to Windows PC (SteamGOGEpic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You can wishlist the game and check out the Founder’s Pack on the official website.
