The award-winning action RPG Wuthering Waves announced details about its upcoming Version 3.1 update, titled For You Who Walk in Snow, during its latest Preview Special Broadcast (watch HERE).
The presentation showed additional main story content, including [Chapter III Act III] The Star That Voyages Far and a follow-up chapter [Segue: Afterstory] All That Sunlight Touches, and the introduction of new playable Resonators Aemeath and Luuk Herssen. Perpetual Spark, a free Rover costume that was also unveiled during the show, can be unlocked by finishing the new main story chapter. When the update releases on February 5, players can also anticipate a brand-new snowy location called the Roya Frostlands-Frostlands Surface.
A major focus of Wuthering Waves version 3.1 is on quality-of-life changes and gameplay enhancements, such as:
- Faster, easier leveling, with new batch tools for upgrading Echoes and improved ways to work toward specific Echo sets
- Simplified material farming, with direct map tracking to enemies that drop needed upgrade materials
- Major upgrades to the Expedition Motorbike, including:
- The new Glacier Track ability, enabling traversal across open water
- Improved navigation with enhanced autopilot and fast travel to nearby beacons
- Better mobile controls, including an optional joystick control scheme and smoother camera adjustments while riding
- Performance improvements on PC and mobile, reducing loading stutter and improving overall stability on lower-spec devices
- Enhanced visuals and immersion, with expanded high-end graphics support on select mobile devices and improved environmental detail in snow-covered areas
- Expanded controller support, including vibration feedback across more gameplay scenarios on PC and console
Wuthering Waves Version 3.1 will release as a free game update on February 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM China Standard Time (February 4 at 10:00 PM EST / 7:00PM PST).
Wuthering Waves is available via the official website, PC via The Epic Games Store, the App Store, Google Play, and PlayStation 5.
