Stormind CEO Antonio Cannata, stated, “Remothered was the first game we developed at the very beginning of our journey, and after our experiences with A Quiet Place and Mafia: The Old Country, we returned to the series because we couldn’t accept seeing Remothered fade away. We decided to make this game out of a strong sense of respect and responsibility toward Remothered and its community, who thought this project had been abandoned.”
Game Director Antonio Cutrona, said, “Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy will dig deep into the story and present new special skills that expand the gameplay pillars of Remothered. While the game is a standalone experience that fans of old-school horror can dive right into and enjoy without playing the first two games in the series, it will offer the conclusion that long-time fans have been waiting years to play.”
The first of three development diaries commemorating Remothered’s homecoming has also been uploaded by the Stormind team. Antonio Cannata, the CEO, and Antonio Cutrona, the game director, discuss the emotions that inspired the studio to take on the project in today’s new video. They also talk about how the team is concentrating on the franchise’s origins in order to give devoted fans a feeling of closure, building on its well-established gameplay, plot, and difficulties while adding some surprises for both new and seasoned players to find. You can currently view the development diary HERE.
Players will explore a world in Red Nun’s Legacy where nothing is quite as it seems. In order to discover the truth about the Red Nun while exploring a convent, you’ll need to utilize cunning to get past unsettling truths, secrets, and a perverted reality—all while avoiding the relentless Stalkers that are out to get you.
The original Remothered: Tormented Fathers, which released in 2018 and is regarded as one of the scariest games ever made, captivated players with its convoluted story and suspenseful survival horror setting. Stormind Games has a proven track record of producing exceptional horror games, having worked with Behaviour Interactive, developed the first two Remothered games, and developed A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead from publisher Saber Interactive in 2024. The group co-developed Mafia: The Old Country with Hangar 13 in 2025, giving the narrative a cinematic ambiance and deep realism.
