Your king summons you, brave player! The Devil used the tears of a young witch as a magical key to enter this land, o valiant knight, and his hellspawn and evil creatures are ravaging Tolomera del Rey. It happened once in Xbox One. It happened again in Steam. And then the devil itself meddled to stop you from fighting his dark forces in Playstation 4… But that’s finally over, and your Kingdom needs you and your holy blade to rescue Tolomera in PS4!
Cursed Castilla, the most addictive platformer since you ran out of quarters in your favorite arcade, will be released in Europe this January 11th for $ 11,99 / € 11,99. The game was released for America and Japan last 16th December with the same price and now arrives to the European players.
In Cursed Castilla you become Don Ramiro in order to fight the evil invading the lands of Tolomera, following the orders of the king Alfonso VI of Castilla. The action takes place in the Kingdom of Castilla (a medieval kingdom in what is today Spain), and thus you won’t face the typical, well, ghosts and goblins: your enemies will be creatures such as mouras, ojáncanos and nuberus, monsters from the European folklore and legends, as well as from chivalric romances such as Amadís de Gaula.
Cursed Castilla is inspired by classic arcades from the 80’s (Ghosts’n’Goblins, Shinobi, Tyger Road…): a straightforward entertainment which challenges the player in every stage, with unforgettable chiptune music and an addictive and intuitive gameplay.
Here is the Cursed Castilla Teaser Trailer:
Cursed Castilla is Abylight and Locomalito’s extended version of the original Maldita Castilla, a modern classic inspired by legendary games such as Ghosts’n’Goblins. Its PS4 version will keep all the features that made critics and players crown it as one of the best games in 2016 (Metacritic Score / Steam score).
