Alienware GM Frank Azor stated that the firm plans to release Steam Machines annually, in order to give it a life cycle similar to that of the console.
Azor said,
“Lifecycle wise, consoles update every five, six, seven years, we will be updating our Steam Machines every year.”
“There will be no customisation options – you can’t really update it.”
“The platform will continue to evolve as the games become more resource intensive.”

What are your thoughts about the Alienware Steam Machines not being customizable?
