On February 14, 2025, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released, and Ubisoft is thrilled to provide further details about parkour. Simon, Associate Game Director of Shadows, joined them.

Players may anticipate returning to the classic Assassin’s Creed experience in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which includes ascending the tall Tenshu of Osaka Castle, leaping effortlessly across rooftops, and surfing the high ground of the congested streets of Kyoto. To put it briefly, Naoe is a true parkour master with unparalleled speed and agility that adjusts to the diverse terrain of feudal Japan.
In addition to exploring cities, players can sneak inside Japanese castles, which are extremely perilous strongholds that present both parkour problems and opportunities. Protected by a system of imposing concentric stone walls and dominated by its tall Tenshu, the castle grounds are home to numerous well-guarded and climbable structures, including watchtowers, warehouses, and barracks.
On the other hand, the game also includes undiscovered parkour routes in the outdoors that provide an alternative experience. There will be tree and rock climbing along these winding trails in stunning scenery, along with more grappling hook swinging, of course.
