Beetlejuice Pinball Full Reveal by Matthew O’Toole

Spooky Pinball has done it once again! One year removed from their sold-out masterpiece, Evil Dead, they return with full innovation for their latest title, Beetlejuice (say it once…). Featuring masterful artwork by Christopher Franchi, the newest LED and RGB lighting techniques, a higher definition monitor, more powerful interior PC, and spectacular, custom built sculpts by Back Alley Creations, the game is sure to please fans who have long awaited the movie’s transition to a world under glass.

If the world under, and to the side, of the glass is not enough, the game also sees the return of renowned special effects artist, Gary J. Tunnicliffe, to pinball, with a moving, interactive “Beetlesnake” topper, sure to make you feel uneasy while you make your way through various modes. Most importantly, Beetlejuice (say it twice…) features a new and completely innovative system in pinball, “Spooky Speak”, which entails the game reacting to a player’s voice in various ways. Promised by designers Corwin “Bug” Emery and Spooky Luke as more than a mere parlor trick, Spooky Speak will enhance not only their latest title, but those to come in the future as well. Besides having conversations with characters from the film, perhaps the most exciting feature will be booting up the machine and starting the premiere multiball mode when, for the third time in succession, the player speaks the main character’s name, Beetlejuice…

The hype and fanfare have been unbelievable for Spooky Pinball, who as of day 1 have found themselves with a sold-out game, their fastest ever and perhaps their greatest success yet, with more, for sure, to come. If you are interested in getting yourself a Beetlejuice pinball to own, check with various distributors in case a spot opens up, such as Flip n’ Out Pinball (who filmed the featurettes and trailers you will see below), Pinball Star, Kingpin Games, and many more on a page of options from Spooky themselves (see below). In the meantime, expect to see Beetlejuice at many pinball expos and shows to come in the new year as games begin to roll out. This is definitely a experience that fans of the film and pinball as a whole, will want to experience. It is time for players to turn on the juice and see what shakes loose!

Your local neighborhood nutjob, gamer, and teacher! I'm an avid fan of many genres such as platformers, shooters, horror, etc. I am also an avid tabletop gamer - hugely into the worlds of Warhammer and all of their spinoffs. I'm a big believer in being objective - even if something is not my cup of tea, I want to talk about it on the objective level - is it well made, crafted with love, and with care for the fans? If so, that's a good game in my book for someone and well worth their hard earned dollarydoos!
