Leading publisher Bethesda Softworks, gaming behemoth Xbox, and bespoke firepit designer The Firepit Company have joined forces to create a unique lifestyle cooperation that combines the worlds of gardening and gaming. Through this collaboration, a terrifying DOOM: The Dark Ages exhibit will be on display at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London from May 20 to 24. It skillfully combines the game’s medieval-inspired aesthetic with state-of-the-art workmanship, making it ideal for introducing the public to the adventure!
At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, London’s biggest gardening event, the enormous installation showcases a number of spectacular floral arrangements. Every arrangement combines the dark, gothic style of DOOM with an angelic, heavenly garden. The focal point is the firepit, which is modeled after DOOM: The Dark Ages and features detailed enemies and demons from the game. An arrangement of dark flowers, such as Julisa (‘Black Hero’), Centaurea Cyanus (‘Black Ball’), Petunia (‘Black Velvet’), and Zantedeschia (‘Odessa’), surround and devour the Slayer, who rules this hellscape. Additionally, there is a carefully carved slate pedestal with the Slayer’s emblem slashed across the stone, turning the event into the ‘Chelsea Fire Show.’
