We stopped by Natsume’s E3 booth this year to check out some amazing games! First game we had tried out was Harvest Moon: Mad Dash. This is a farm frenzy, fast-paced game that could be played with friends as well. The objective of the game is to collect the provided requirements in the limited amount of time. Players are provided with a set of small plants that include fruits and vegetables as well as haystacks, and then they have to combine them together in order to get greater bonuses. Harvest Moon: Mad Dash is very fast paced as there is a time limitation and once the requirement is completed, there is another requirement that pops up. For completing each requirement, players get points that can be used to get stars, for certain amount of one star is achieved. For each level, the players can reach up-to a maximum of 3 stars.
Harvest Moon: Mad Dash is an extremely fast and fun game with cute character design, which can be played as couch co-op as well. The levels are not just limited to farms as there are beaches, underworld, and skyworld levels that are available as well. Harvest Moon: Mad Dash will come out on PS4 and Switch in Fall 2019.
Second game from Natsume that we saw was Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure. The game is all about fishing and tapping the potential of the main character in order to achieve rarer fishes. Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure provides three characters: one character who actually catches fish; another character who can cook, and the third one for crafting. Each character has some serious character progressions that can be achieved by doing their specific activities. There are over 20 kind of fishes and the challenges are as close to reality as possible including being patient while trying to catch fish. Overall, Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure provides about 10 different locations and 50 types of rods, reels, and baits to be used.
Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure is coming out on PS4 and Switch in Summer 2019.
The last game that we tried out at the Natsume booth was Cosmic Defenders, developed by Indie developers, Fiery Squirrel. Cosmic Defenders is a 2D, fast-paced revolving shooter. The concept of the game is that in each level you are dropped on a small foreign space body such as a really small moon. The players have to shoot the aliens on that body. The fun thing is that when you shoot from the left, the bullet circles around the body and can be used to shoot the aliens on the right side of you. Cosmic Defenders is an extremely fun game with unique gameplay, which provides different characters and different level design. Each level has a different or mix abilities of aliens, that provides a sense of challenge. Cosmic Defenders can be played with or against your friends as well. The game is coming out in Fall 2019 on Nintendo Switch.
