As they kick off 2025 with Pirate Software to fundraise for The Humane Society, independent publisher First Break Labs is off to a great start. Entropy Survivors by Moving Pieces Interactive gets its first major update in honor of the Lunar additional Year, and the next update for Cthulhu’s Reach: Devil Reef by The Fine Arc will include upgrades, additional Lovecraftian lore, and more.
Entropy Survivors:
For the Lunar New Year Celebration, Entropy Survivors gets its first significant upgrade for the Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and PlayStation 5. Endless Missions, temporary dyes and decorations, and more are included in the update. Unlock two new limited-edition dyes and decorate the game’s hub with lanterns to celebrate the Year of the Snake in style.
Procedurally remixed levels can now be played indefinitely by anyone seeking an endless series of challenges. Midway through the game, a new Endless objectives gateway appears, offering a series of progressively challenging new objectives to complete. To find out who can defeat the most difficult planets in the multiverse, compete with other Survivors on the Endless Mission Leaderboards. Unlock brand-new hues and perk point challenges by completing Endless Missions. After completing a mission in World 2, you can access the new Mission History to view past missions. Completionists can trade collectibles for gold in a new skill tree menu that appears after finishing Entropy Survivors for the first time.

Cthulhu’s Reach: Devil Reef
Cthulhu’s Reach: Devil Reef will get an update on February 3 that includes a new shop, meta progression, Codex, and other features.
- Codex: Discover details about the adversaries you face and in-game mythology. As you advance, you can access and unlock new entries at any point during your run.
- Before every run, select your weapons and unlock the new wall in the beach hut.
- Meta Progression: To permanently unlock weapons in the hut, gather and spend meta resources (Dagonite). Between runs, weapons and Dagonite are kept.
- End-of-Level Shop: More in-depth equipment improvements are available at this new shop located in between levels. Damage, capacity, and rounds per second can now be upgraded separately.
