As announced at The MIX’s June showcase, Run Games‘ free-to-play tactical soccer game Football Heroes League, which features heroes, skills, and intense multiplayer action, will be promoted to the PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch when it launches into 1.0 on September 16, 2025, alongside the PC version 1.1 via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Soccer has become the most popular sport in the world in the near future, drawing superhuman individuals with technologically boosted skills that change the game. Anything to obtain that sweet, competitive edge is on the table, including DNA alteration, robotic drones, and the ability to control the elements!
Participate in casual or competitive multiplayer 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 matches while choosing a hero from a list of superhuman football champions. Use the robotic rabbits from Bun-E to stop an attacker’s attempt to reach the goal. You can either pass it to Kenzo for a furious bicycle kick or use Frostine’s ice slide to cross the field and shoot down the pitch far above the heads of the defenders.
Use those superhuman abilities in conjunction with practical soccer strategies to create spectacular moves and excite the audience. The most outrageous soccer action on the planet is combined with an easy-to-learn control scheme that allows players to tackle, tap, pass, and target incredible goal kicks. There are no pay-to-win options here; you can start playing for free with rotating characters, buy the Founder’s Pack to unlock all current and future heroes, and earn coins for skins, emotes, and other cosmetics.
Michael Marzola, Run Games President stated, “A lot of us at Run Games are lifelong soccer players, and Football Heroes League reflects our love of the game. We wanted to take what we love about soccer—the tactics and excitement and spectacle of it—and combine it with our love of arcade sports games and hero shooters. Soccer is for everybody, and we think this is a perfect way for old-school fans and newcomers alike to enjoy it together.”
In addition to the PC version that is now available via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Football Heroes League will be released as a free-to-play game on the PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on September 16, 2025. English, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and Korean text will all be supported.
