As it is the start of a new year, video game development companies are doing their best to start the year on a high note. There will be great releases like the Horizon Forbidden West and Indies like OlliOlli World in February. There have been plenty of delayed game releases in 2021 due to the pandemic and in January 2022, but February will be the month where all these delays will be made up for.
In February, there will be video games for just about everyone be sure to also check the ultimate LEC betting guide for great Esports games too. Fall months like November see many video games being released, but this was not the case for November 2021. Due to delayed releases, many of these games are being released in the first quarter of 2022.
One of the biggest video games released in January 2022 is Pokemon Legends: Arceus. More will follow in February, with dates announced for games like the King of Fighters 15 and Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
Kingdom Hearts will be on Switch
The Kingdom Hearts series will be on Nintendo Switch on February 10, 2022. The only KH game available on Switch was the Melody of Memory. The only downside with this game is that it will only be available on the cloud. This will prove to be a deal-breaker for some fans, but this will be great for those who have longed for the game.
King of Fighters 15 and Warhammer 3
February 17 will see the release of King Fighter 15 together with Total War: Warhammer 3. King of Fighter promises a lot of updated mechanics and innovations, something that is hard to come by with the fighting game franchise. Like the previous Warhammer titles, the Warhammer 3 is a turn-based strategy and tactics RPG video game influenced by the tabletop wargame. These two games will be released on the same day, but the gameplay and the style offered are different.
Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West is considered the biggest release for February 2022, and for some, this might be the biggest for the year. There have been delays in the release of this game, but this Playstation exclusive game will see this new video game released for PS4 and PS5. You might have come across a couple of teasers about the returning characters and new enemies to fight. The developers have also stated that this video game will not have multiple endings. The underwater gameplay and the adaptive triggers in the PS5 controller with Aloy using her bow are features that have been talked about a lot.
Elden Ring
This new video game by FromSoftware will be released on February 25, 2022. This game has also experienced a lot of delays, but the wait is finally over. The game will be available for PS5, Xbox series X/S, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PS4. The game is getting a lot of hype, and this might be because the storyline has been done by Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin and the fact that it is an open-world Soulslike.
